

By the early 1990s, the computer industry was changing rapidly. Jensen saw a unique opportunity: graphics processing chips were primitive and underdeveloped, but video games were exploding in popularity. He believed that specialized processors could revolutionize gaming and, eventually, all forms of computation. In 1993, at the age of 30, he co-founded NVIDIA with Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem, investing $40,000 of their combined savings.
