

By the age of thirty-four, she had obtained her official dental license in Iran and permanently settled in Mashhad with her mother. Determined to improve oral hygiene, she took practical steps to change public habits. “At that time,” she recalled, “people did not even know what a toothbrush was. I bought several toothbrushes with charitable donations and distributed them among the poor.” Her community-based approach, combining education, prevention, and treatment, laid the foundation for modern dental public health in Iran.
