Kambiz’s lineage also included one of the most influential military figures of early Pahlavi Iran: his uncle, General Hadi Atabay. Known as one of Reza Shah’s most trusted officers, Hadi Atabay had cemented his family’s ties to the royal household through his marriage to Hamdam al-Saltaneh Pahlavi, the eldest and beloved sister of Mohammad Reza Shah. This familial connection would later shape Kambiz’s own trajectory, bringing him closer to the center of power and ultimately shaping his administrative destiny.
