Another set of solutions revolves around the idea that we are simply not listening correctly or that the aliens are communicating in a manner we cannot perceive. Humanity's search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) has largely focused on detecting narrow-band radio signals, essentially looking for a "Hello" in our own technological language. However, an alien civilization thousands or millions of years more advanced than us might use communication methods we cannot even conceive of—perhaps quantum entanglement, neutrino beams, or gravitational waves. Their "technosignatures" could be everywhere, yet completely invisible to our current instruments and methodologies.
