

In the last years of his life, Taghvai’s health began to decline, though he remained mentally alert and reflective. Those close to him spoke of a man who faced aging with acceptance, aware of his place in history but never seeking to glorify himself. His small circle of friends and students often visited him, and he spoke about cinema as a living art, not a career. His distance from filmmaking did not mean detachment from its essence; he remained a quiet observer of cultural life in Iran.
