When Zadeh launched Kosas in 2015, she started with little more than four lipsticks and a vision. With a modest $70,000 in personal savings, she crafted formulas in small batches, aiming to solve a problem she personally faced: the lack of flattering shades for medium and olive skin tones. Each lipstick represented a fusion of artistry and inclusivity, inviting people of all backgrounds to see themselves reflected in the colors they wore. What began as a kitchen-table experiment soon became a movement.
