Emile Hirsch had to undergo dramatic weight loss for the movie ‘Into The Wild,’ to accurately portray Chris McCandless, a man who ventured into the Alaskan Wilderness and eventually starved to death.“I weighed about 156 pounds when I got the part, and I weighed 130 pounds throughout most of the film, so I lost the 26 pounds to get in shape for the film,” he said.  “And then I went down to 115 pounds for the weight loss in the Alaska segment. So it was like two stages of weight loss.”
